R.W. McQuarters #21
_____Defense-----------------Cornerback
_____Special Team-----------Punt Returner
_____Comments: Coming in as a rookie for the 49ers, the fans expected a lot out of McQuarters. R.W. has had to come in with a strong mental focus and fill in at cornerback and punt returner. At cornerback, he filled in for injuries. Because the 49ers defense against the pass has been doubtful, the 49ers needed a good solid cornerback. McQuarters has been able to stop the deep balls and handle the situation with a strong composure. On special teams, RW filled in at punt returner. He has done a fine job at this position, but the 49ers wanted to see more. On December 27, 1998, R.W. showed that he was the right move. He returned a punt for a 72 yard touchdown which ensured a 49er victory over the lowly St. Louis Rams.

Jerry Rice #80
_______Offense--------Wide Receiver
_____Comments: Rice, Rice, Rice!!!
This year has been a very different year
for such a superstar as Jerry. He is still
the top rated wide receiver in the NFL. This
year has given Jerry Rice doubts, but even
greater accomplishments. He has broken so
many records with his hard work through the
years. With Young at Quarterback, they have
broken the best duo record with 84 (Young
to Rice) touchdowns.

_______My Quotes: "Rice will always be Rice"
"He will even be better next year!"

Garrison Hearst #20
______Offense-----------Half Back
_______Comments: Garrison Hearst has struggled from his previous teams. But with the 49ers, Hearst has been one of the 49ers best running backs in years. Hearst has given the 49ers a new key weapon besides passing which is the running. He has rushed for over 1,000 yards this year. Hearst also broke the 49er rushing record with 198 yards in a game. He brings excitement and a positive feeling for the team.

_______My Quotes: "Hearst is the first to burst."
_______Favorite Move: Stiff Arm

Terrell Owens #81
______Offense----------Wide Receiver
______Comments:
Strong wide receiver Terrell Owens brings a helpful compliment to Jerry Rice. He has shown his ability to make big plays that Rice can make. Turning a 2 yard pass for a 78 yard touchdown after the catch is how Owens has impacted the team. He is big and strong leaving the cornerbacks at a disadvantage.

______Favorite Move: Showboat Dance

J.J. Stokes #83
______Offense: Wide Receiver
______Comments: Stokes drafted in '96 was suppose to give the 49ers another sparkling receiver such as Jerry Rice, but was thought of as a wasted first pick of the 49ers. Since his discouraging first rookie season, Stokes shows that his height, strength, and speed can contribute to a 49er team. Stokes shows that he can also turn a short pass to a surprising touchdown finish!
